Clef offers open-weight decisions with a Jev-compatible interface
Cloudflare’s Clef models return structured choices and probabilities instead of generating an answer word by word. They use a Qwen-based pass over the input followed by parallel scoring of valid choices. Clef supports images and a 64,000-token context window, with a Jev-compatible interface intended for decisions such as routing a support ticket to a team.

Why it matters
Developers evaluating decision models now have another implementation with downloadable weights and hosted access.
More context
Try a labelled classification dataset through Workers AI or the Apache-2.0 weights on Hugging Face. Compare errors and probability calibration, not just response speed. Hosted usage and self-hosted compute have costs.
Keep in mind
This is an early released model family. Performance comparisons are Cloudflare’s evaluations, not 1min tests. Fine-tuning currently starts with a hands-on service; the self-serve platform is future work.
