Engineering ideas, in about a minute each.
1min is a small daily edition of engineering stories: AI and agents, programming languages, architecture, distributed systems, databases, production engineering, devices and developer tools. Each card explains one idea in plain language and links to the original source, so you can decide in a minute whether it deserves an hour.
How stories are chosen
Each edition starts from a bounded set of candidates: engineering blogs and release feeds, Hacker News, and sources the editor follows. An AI research workflow, run by Adarsh with a written editorial process, reads the original material, shortlists at most 24 candidates and writes six to ten cards. A thinner day gets fewer cards rather than padding.
- Original sources first. A headline or feed excerpt is a lead, not evidence. Each card records what was actually read: the full original, a transcript, an excerpt or only a description.
- Claims stay attributed. Author claims, research results and independently demonstrated results are kept apart. Every card has a “Keep in mind” note with its limits.
- Dates are real. If a publication date can’t be verified, the card says so rather than guessing.
- Images are optional. Generated illustrations are labelled and are never presented as screenshots or benchmark evidence.
