Go team opens its 2026 developer survey
The Go team opened its annual developer survey through November 3, asking about how people use Go and what challenges they face. Last year, 5,379 developers responded; the most-cited frustration was ensuring code follows Go best practices and idioms. The team says those findings informed newer `go fix` modernizers and will help guide future priorities.

Why it matters
Go developers can share practical pain points while the project is still gathering input for its next planning cycle.
More context
The official survey takes about 10–20 minutes, and each question is optional. The Go team says it plans to publish results in early 2027; the previous survey results are linked from the announcement.
Keep in mind
This is a call for participation, not a new language feature. The results will reflect respondents rather than a representative sample of every Go user.
