Iosevka lets you tune a coding font character by character

Iosevka’s coding fonts offer narrow and extended widths, selectable character shapes, and terminal-specific variants. The Fixed family disables ligatures, while OpenType settings let supported editors choose individual glyph alternatives. That makes it useful when distinguishing similar symbols or fitting more code on screen. Software can ignore long feature lists, so check the actual rendering instead of assuming every setting took effect.

Iosevka

Why it matters

Font configuration can address a concrete reading preference without changing editors.

More context

This is an established project discovery, not a new release. Try a prebuilt font package and compare a real file in your editor; the project also documents custom builds for finer ligature choices.

Keep in mind

Editor support varies, and a denser font is not automatically more readable for everyone.
