Docker Agent packages agent configurations as shareable artifacts
Docker Agent defines an agent’s model, instructions and tools in YAML, then runs that configuration through a command-line interface. It supports delegation among agents, local or remote MCP tools, and several model providers. Agent packages can be distributed through OCI registries, making the configuration something a team can version and share alongside other development artifacts.
Docker
Why it matters
Teams assembling repeatable agent workflows can evaluate an existing runtime before writing their own orchestration layer.
More context
Try a small example with restricted tools. The project documents Docker Desktop 4.63 or later, Homebrew and binary installation paths. Choose a hosted provider with its credentials or a local model through Docker Model Runner. This is an existing project discovery; its original launch date was not verified.
Keep in mind
Apache 2.0 availability does not establish reliability for your workflow or guarantee tool isolation. Model and tool access still need configuration, hosted inference can incur charges, and the project documents telemetry. We read the documentation without running agents.
