PostgreSQL 19 beta 4 removes several planned features
PostgreSQL 19 beta 4 narrows the upcoming release: SQL property graphs, online checksum changes, temporal portion updates and partition splitting or merging have been reverted. It also fixes problems involving REPACK, replication and other database operations. Teams testing the beta should revisit feature assumptions as well as upgrade tests; earlier previews no longer describe everything that will ship.

Why it matters
A release plan based on an earlier beta may now depend on functionality that has been removed.
More context
Try the beta on an isolated database copy with your extensions and workloads. Use the project’s documented upgrade procedure; the next release candidate is planned for October, subject to testing.
Keep in mind
This remains prerelease software. The announcement describes fixes and plans, not a general-availability release or a production readiness guarantee.
