Dasha 1.8 checks PostgreSQL indexes across primaries and replicas

Dasha is an open-source PostgreSQL monitoring dashboard that reads statistics from every host in a cluster. Version 1.8 adds index recommendations, I/O analysis, schema checks and log insights. Looking at replicas matters: an index that appears unused on a primary may serve standby queries, so one host’s counters are insufficient evidence for removing it.

Why it matters

Database teams can review index decisions against the actual distribution of reads.

More context

Try it with a read-only monitoring role on PostgreSQL 14 or later and query statistics enabled. I/O analysis requires PostgreSQL 16 or later. Review suggested SQL and query plans before applying an index change.

Keep in mind

This is a released tool described by its maintainers, not independently tested by 1min. Recommendations depend on available statistics, their reset history and optional log sources.
