AX separates agent tasks, workspaces and network policy

Google’s AX project describes agent workloads with separate task, workspace, gateway and model specifications. A task runs in a sandbox, a workspace prepares repositories and tools, and a gateway restricts outbound destinations. Built on Agent Substrate, the system also exposes suspend and resume operations for stateful agents that spend time waiting on models or people.

Google AX

Why it matters

Interesting for platform teams managing many agent runs with repeatable setup and explicit network boundaries.

More context

Watch or try in a test cluster: setup needs Kubernetes, a container registry, ko and an Agent Substrate Control API. The CLI is installed with Go tooling. This is a project discovery with no verified original launch date.

Keep in mind

The repository warns of major breaking changes before a stable release. Large-scale capacity claims are not independent measurements; infrastructure and model calls cost money. 1min has not tested its isolation.
