PL/Haskell 6 adds PostgreSQL range types
PL/Haskell lets developers write PostgreSQL functions in Haskell. Version 6 adds support for PostgreSQL range types, allowing those functions to work with interval values rather than forcing callers to split them into separate bounds. The release announcement also provides package installation routes and flags a compiler issue affecting Fedora 44 users.

Why it matters
Haskell users extending PostgreSQL gain support for another native database type.
More context
Try a range-handling function in an isolated database using the linked Ubuntu or Fedora packages. Fedora 44 users should read the documented GHC workaround before installation.
Keep in mind
This is a released extension, not a replacement for ordinary SQL. The announcement is brief; 1min has not tested package compatibility or the compiler workaround.
