Python Workers reaches GA with native Cloudflare bindings

Cloudflare has made Python Workers generally available, letting Python applications use its serverless runtime and platform services. The runtime and SDK now handle conversions between Python and JavaScript objects, removing glue code around bindings such as Queues. Framework support includes FastAPI, Django and Flask, while compiled packages still depend on WebAssembly-compatible builds.

Why it matters

Useful for Python teams considering edge APIs or agent services without rewriting everything in JavaScript.

More context

Try a small application with the documented Python Workers tooling and a Cloudflare account. Check every dependency against the Pyodide/PyEmscripten environment before migrating an existing service. Cloudflare describes this release as production-ready.

Keep in mind

GA does not mean every Python package works. Runtime limits and usage costs still apply; 1min has not deployed or benchmarked this release.
