Save a replayable copy of useful websites before they disappear
Web archivist Misty De Meo explains how to capture websites as replayable archives rather than relying on them remaining online. ArchiveWeb.page records pages as you browse, including resources loaded by interactions. A WACZ file packages the captured material for local replay or sharing, making it possible to preserve useful documentation and small sites before their domains disappear.

Why it matters
A saved link preserves an address; keeping the content requires capturing and checking an archive.
More context
Try the Chrome extension or standalone app on a small site, visit important interactive states, then test replay. Browsertrix can automate larger crawls; its hosted service is paid, with a self-hosted option. ReplayWeb.page can display exported archives.
Keep in mind
The author works for the tools’ maker. Capture completeness depends on what loads and is visited; replay should be checked, and private captured information reviewed before sharing.
