Cloudflare Containers adds runtime selection and filesystem snapshots
Cloudflare’s revised Containers architecture lets application code select an image and instance size at runtime. Filesystem snapshots, now in public beta, preserve a prepared workspace for later sessions or multiple isolated evaluations. A Durable Object controls the container’s lifecycle outside that workspace, allowing the agent’s coordinating state to survive when Linux compute stops.

Why it matters
Agent platforms can reuse prepared environments without tying their controller to one running sandbox.
More context
Try the documented Durable Object scheduling policy with a small sandbox and a save-and-restore test. Immutable snapshots can supply the same repository and dependencies to repeated evaluations; check service pricing and limits before scaling.
Keep in mind
These are filesystem snapshots, not a claim to preserve running process memory. Startup measurements depend on workload and caching. Snapshot support is beta, and 1min has not reproduced performance or recovery tests.
