DeepSeek’s Flash update includes a Rust prompt toolkit
DeepSeek’s Flash-1017 model card reports Terminal-Bench 4.0 rising from 31.2 to 42.3 using the Claude Code harness. The MIT-licensed release also supplies deepseek-recipe, Rust libraries with Python bindings for encoding requests and parsing streamed model output. There is no Jinja chat template; inference, HTTP transport and actually executing tools remain the application’s responsibility. These are vendor-reported benchmark results.

Why it matters
The integration boundary matters as much as the benchmark when building a model-backed tool.
More context
Try the reference encoder and test cases before adapting an existing serving stack. This follows yesterday’s harness integration with details of the model artifacts and protocol tooling; deployment hardware requirements need separate planning.
Keep in mind
The score is tied to the stated harness and benchmark, not a general guarantee about your repository.
