Claude Code fixes recurring-task recovery and handoff behavior
Claude Code 2.1.290 fixes recurring tasks disappearing when compacted conversations resume, tasks failing after a background handoff, and extra runs triggered by resume or fork. It also makes WebFetch report truncated content and support reading later portions. These changes address specific reliability gaps in longer agent workflows rather than introduce a new model.

Why it matters
Users relying on resumed or background sessions have concrete behaviors to retest after upgrading.
More context
Try the released update through your existing Claude Code installation and verify one scheduled task across resume and handoff. The compaction fix applies to compactions created with this version onward; earlier saved state is not promised to recover.
Keep in mind
These are documented fixes, not a guarantee of unattended delivery. Existing account and model-access requirements still apply. 1min has not tested the scheduler or permission fixes in this release.
