Forge generates developer tooling from an API specification

Forge is Cloudflare’s open-source pipeline for generating SDKs, command-line tools and documentation from API definitions. Its stages can feed one another, such as generating a TypeScript SDK that then powers a CLI. Running the pipeline in continuous integration lets API authors review resulting tooling changes alongside a specification change, instead of discovering inconsistencies after release.

Why it matters

API teams can make generated client changes visible during review.

More context

Try the Apache-licensed project with one OpenAPI specification and inspect the generated changes. Forge already powers Cloudflare’s cf CLI; broader SDK and documentation rollout is planned over coming months.

Keep in mind

The project is early. OpenAPI is the current input; other specification formats and broader output coverage are plans, not universally available capabilities. No generated client was tested by 1min.
