Perseid starts with a deliberately small PostgreSQL schema surface

Perseid 0.1.0 exports a PostgreSQL schema to YAML and generates or applies SQL to bring another database into agreement with that specification. It succeeds Pyrseas, but this first release supports only schemas, tables, columns and constraints, and requires PostgreSQL 17 or later. It is a small initial schema-versioning tool, not a claim of complete database-object coverage.

Why it matters

A reviewable schema specification can make differences easier to inspect before applying changes.

More context

Try dbtoyaml and yamltodb on a disposable database, then review the generated SQL. Source and documentation are linked in the official announcement.

Keep in mind

Initial object support is limited; verify that unsupported objects and production migration requirements are handled by your existing process.
