commit-rewriter can now target a non-default branch
commit-rewriter is a Python web application for editing Git commit messages. Version 0.2 adds explicit branch selection, so the same interface can work against a branch other than the repository’s default. This is a small but concrete follow-up to the original tool: a feature branch can now be selected directly when starting the application.

Why it matters
The branch selector makes the tool more relevant to work being prepared for review.
More context
Try uvx commit-rewriter --branch other in a disposable repository first. The author’s release note links the change; this card covers that specific addition rather than repeating the original project introduction.
Keep in mind
Early version 0.2. Rewriting commits changes history, so coordinate before using it on shared branches. 1min has not run this release or verified its behaviour on complex histories.
