Topcoat 0.9 pushes live HTML updates from Rust
Topcoat combines server-rendered Rust views with small browser-side expressions for immediate interactions. Version 0.9 adds long-lived WebSocket connections that push updated views when server state changes. Its existing reactive components can also rerender when browser signals change. The result is a framework for interactive applications that keeps much of the rendering and business logic on the server.

Why it matters
Worth exploring if you want interactive Rust web applications without maintaining a separate frontend application.
More context
Try the Cargo-based getting-started example with topcoat and tokio. Test a small live view under slow connections before committing to the framework. This is an update to the project announced in July.
Keep in mind
Version 0.9 is pre-1.0 and still evolving. The authors’ productivity and performance claims are not independent benchmarks.
