DeepSeek Harness adds separate Git checkouts for agent work

DeepSeek Harness now lets agents create and enter separate Git checkouts through an experimental Worktrees plugin. The October 9 alpha also adds shared AGENTS.md instructions and working-directory controls for its Python and TypeScript SDKs. Enable the plugin explicitly to try isolated code changes; this is a prerelease with SDK migration requirements, and separate checkouts are not a security sandbox.

Why it matters

Useful follow-up for teams integrating agents with repositories without mixing unrelated edits.

More context

Try it in a disposable repository first. This release also fixes requests hanging after an idle timeout and changes custom SDK runtimes to support session/wait. Review migration notes before upgrading an integration.

Keep in mind

The Worktrees feature is experimental. Filesystem isolation and permission policies remain separate concerns.
